This year is our first Christmas in our new home. So when it came time to decorate this year, I wanted it to be extra special.
I love the simplicity of Scandinavian design. Nature mixed with bright whites and calm neutrals is exactly how I imagined Christmas in our home so I styled two of our trees exactly that way!

A Botanical Beauty
I started with the tree in my office at the front of our home. This year I partnered with King of Christmas, who gifted me a beautiful Tribeca Blue Spruce with warm LED lights. I wanted to incorporate some of the beautiful stems I’ve collected over the years to create a botanical beauty.

I mixed in stems that included, hydrangea, magnolia, snowberry, english roses and protea. I also created extra dimension to the tree by adding in stems of eucalyptus and some of my fall grasses I had left over from my autumn decor.
The result is this beautiful botanical vibe. One that I will re-create year after year!
A Magical Winter Village
The main tree in our home is always the most important to our family. As an avid snowboarder, I love the winter magic of ski villages. I spent many winters in Colorado in my twenties and fell in love with Aspen and Vail. This year I am introducing my son to the sport and signed him up for ski lessons at our local resort here in Washington.
In honor of what will become a family tradition, I decided to create a winter village theme for our family room tree. I sources almost all of our decor from Amazon and Etsy, which helps support small businesses – something that is super important to ski communities around the globe!
We incorporated the Scandinavian look by keeping things neutral. Whites, woods and blacks dominate our tree in an understated way. I found adorable ski lift and gondola ornaments, wood and glitter snowflakes, sleds and snowshoes and super fun paper houses to scatter throughout the tree. My son and I enjoyed making bead garland and we even added an adorable cable car gondola we found on Etsy, flanked by beautiful winter prints.
This is my favorite tree of all time and know it will be an annual addition to our home!
